General conditions Gaussignac

  1. Applicable provisions and acceptance of the general conditions

These general conditions of sale apply to all reservations for stays and meals.
Unless expressly stipulated otherwise, the customer is deemed to have read these conditions and to have accepted all of their clauses at the latest when paying the reservation deposit or taking possession of the room.

The owner certifies that the rented property complies with Book III of the Walloon Tourism Code relating to fire standards for local tourist accommodation.

  2. Formation of the contract and payment of the price

In case of reservation by email, the reservation becomes effective and is worth contract as soon as the customer has sent the owner a deposit of 30% of the amount of the price of the stay or a lump sum stipulated in the email sent by the owner. The amount of the deposit must be paid to the owner before the date indicated in the email, under penalty of breach of contract by the owner.

In case of online booking, the collection of the deposit is managed by the Regional Marketing Tool (ORC).

The deposit paid remains with the owner in the event of cancellation or no show.
Taking possession of the room also constitutes a contract.
The prices are inclusive of all charges, excluding any supplements.

The balance of the stay is to be paid upon departure. Consumption and additional services not provided in advance will be paid at the end of the stay to the owner. Unless otherwise specified, all on-site payments are made only in cash.

Any modification to the contract must be the subject of a written request from the client and will only be validated with a written agreement from the owner.

  3. Cancellations

Cancellations must be notified in writing or by email to the owner.

They give rise to the following invoicing:

    • Cancellation more than 3 days before arrival date: the deposit paid remains with the owner.
    • Cancellation of stay 3 days before the planned arrival: indemnity of withdrawal equal to 50% of the booked stay.
    • Cancellation less than three days before arrival and no-show: late cancellation compensation of 100% of the amount of the services reserved, over the entire duration of the stay.
  4. Arrival, departure and length of stay

Unless previously agreed with the owner, arrival is scheduled between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., rooms must be vacated by 11 a.m. If the customer has not appeared within an hour of the day and time scheduled for the start of the stay, the reservation becomes void and the owner can dispose of his guest rooms. In this case, the deposit remains with the owner who reserves the right to claim the amount of compensation for late cancellation (see point 3).
In case of early arrival or late departure not previously agreed in writing with the owner, an additional night could be claimed.

The customer who takes a reservation from an owner for a fixed period cannot in any case claim any right to remain in the premises beyond the period provided. Assignment or subletting is prohibited.

  5. Uses and occupation of the premises

A guest house should not be considered as if it were a "gîte with services" in which the degree of independence and autonomy would be total. The owner welcomes you to his home, shares his time, ensures your comfort, your relaxation, in a friendly spirit and mutual respect.

The client must respect the peaceful character of the premises and make use of it in accordance with their destination. He will take into account the peace of mind of the other occupants and the owner. Parents will also ensure that their children respect the rules of the place.

The client is asked not to eat in his room to avoid accidents that could affect the quality and atmosphere of the accommodation.
